Suzanne Munroe, 90, of Owego passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 with her loving family holding her hand. Sue was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, C. Donald Munroe, Sr.; two brothers, Pat and Dennis McCormick. She is survived by her nine children, Maryann and Marc Lyons, Colorado Springs, Co, Charlie Munroe and Sue Welsh-Munroe, Owego, NY, Pat and Fran Munroe, Vestal, NY; Kathy and Dale Breese, Apalachin, NY, Suzanne and Kevin Mathers, Newark Valley, NY, Cece Munroe, Endicott, NY, Maggie and Ed Perrotte, Owego, NY, John Munroe, Owego, NY, Tom Munroe, Owego, NY ; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Connelly, Endicott, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Sylvia McCormick, Edgewater, FL; sister-in-law, Mari McCormick, Binghamton; special cousin, Father Louis McCormick, OFM; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, Ann Ziomek, Carol Randall. In 1952, Sue married the love of her life, C. Donald, Sr., together they raised their nine children and built the home for them all to share. Family was her life and she loved celebrating birthdays, Christmas and all the holidays. She will be remembered for her gift of doing for others, as well as her delicious homemade bread and sticky buns. Sue was a faithful servant of God, lifelong member of St. Patrick's Church, Owego, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered on the Bereavement Committee. She was proud to serve her community as a volunteer of the Tioga County Rural Ministry. Sue will be missed by all and remembered for her captivating smile, infectious sense of humor but always "Told it like it is". Due to the isolation of Covid, Sue lived her last four months in her daughter and son-in-law's home after an extended stay at Riverview Manor. The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to Riverview Manor staff, home health aides, LuAnn Antisdel, NP and John Gatto. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 13th from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 300 Main St., Owego. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made in Suzanne Munroe's memory to Tioga County Rural Ministry, 143 North Avenue, Owego, NY.
