Obituary of Edward R. Bestle

~~Edward Roy Bestle, 58, of Owego, went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2017 at UHS Wilson Hospital. Ed is survived by his wife; Donna Bestle, his five children; Rebekah (Stephen) Cohrs, Josh (Jessica Marie)  Bestle, Caleb (Celia) Bestle, Gabrielle (James) Slattery, and Mariah (Isaac) Ward. His brother; William (Bill) Bestle, and sister Janice Bestle. His six grandchildren; Jacob Bestle, Laura Cohrs, Heather Bestle, Xavier Cohrs, Hanna Bestle and Claire Bestle. His two Yorkies; Jack and Jill. Ed was predeceased by his father and mother; Elmer and Irene Bestle. Ed was a titan of a man to all who knew him. He was selfless and a “jack of all trades”. Ed was someone you could always go to in a jam, no matter the size. Ed had a passion for boating, fishing, vacations at the shore, spending time with his family, playing volleyball and hunting, just to name a few. Ed was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Lakeview Chapel, 185 Day Hollow Road, Owego, NY, from the hours of 3PM-4:45 PM with a memorial service to follow at 5 PM.
