Obituary of Kenneth LeRoy Budinger

Kenneth L. Budinger passed away on Mondy, February 19, 2018 at the age of 77, after a short illness.  Kenneth was born in Andover, New York on  November 8, 1940 to Leola “Tiny” and Carl Budinger.  Kenneth is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Ellen, Candor, NY, Ken and Denise, Candor, NY, Michael Budinger, Owego, NY; grandchildren, Brandi (Patrick), Michelle, Kyle (Lisa); great-grandchildren, Tyson and Kaylee; sisters-in-law, Betty Butterfield, Velma Wilson, Evelyn (Ron) Hover; aunt, Linda Teribury; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Kenneth was predeceased by his father, Carl Budinger, mother, Leola “Tiny” Hoyt; brothers, Carl “Jr.”, Douglas; step-father, George Hoyt; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunt and uncles.  At the tender age of twelve, Ken went to live with Rodney and Mary Ella Andrews, working for his room and board.  He lived there until graduation.  Their children Dean and Mike Andrews, and Kathy Malloy survive him.  Ken graduated from Candor Central School.  He was a member of the Laborer’s Union for over 50 years.  He worked on several major construction projects in the Cornell and Ithaca area, retiring after 36 years.  Ken was a member of the Candor Masonic Lodge and the McKendree United Methodist Church.  Ken enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, NASCAR Racing, and travel.  In 2014, Ken and Linda completed their bucket list of traveling to each of the 50 states.  Ken was a generous, loving person, with a quick wit and a great sense of humor.  He was loved by his family and many friends.  He will be greatly missed.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in the Spring.  Memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth L.
