Obituary of Janice Susan Watkins

It is with great sadness that the family of Janice Watkins of Candor, NY announce her passing on March 16, 2018. Born, December 07, 1958, in Sayre, Pa.to the late Arthur Worthington and Flora Worthington Benjamin.  She attended Athens Area High School and Newark Valley High School. She worked several years at Cornell University in Itahca, NY and then moved on to being self employed. She loved antiquing, decorating, gardening and working outside. But her greatest love was her family and spending time with them. Her smile, her love and kind heart will be forever missed. She was a member of the North Spencer Baptist Church in Spencer, NY.  She is also preceded in death by her step father,  Arthur Benjamin, of Newark Valley, three brothers,  Arthur Worthington Jr, Richard  Worthington, Eugene (Butch) Worthington; sister, Marion Hyjurick. Janice is survived by seven sisters, Linda (Gerald) Sarnosky, of Towanda Pa, Louise Luckman,  of Milan Pa., Nancy (Jeff) Robbins, of Rome Pa., Joyce McCloskey, of Morganton NC, Carol Putnam, of Towanda Pa., her twin, Janet (Mark) Lott, of Newark Valley NY,  Kathy Watkins, of Deatsville, AL; brother, Ronald (Amanda) Worthington, of Rome, Pa.; her friend of 13 years, Stephen Haner, of Candor NY; her 3 furry friends.  Her children,  two daughters, Brenda Worthington, of Apalachin, NY, Krysti Mancini (Brad), of Candor, NY, son, Chad Watkins, of Candor, NY; 21 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and 13 step sisters and brothers.  The family will receive friends Monday, March 19, 2018  from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Bradford Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made in Janice Watkins’ Memory to Stray Haven Humane Society, 194 Shepherd Road, Waverly, NY  14892 or Friends of Hospice, P.O.
