William “Bill” Fenton, 62, of Owego, passed away on June 28, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Melody (Gretz) Fenton; children: Jason (Brooke), and Stephanie (Scott Patrillo) Fenton; grandchildren: Andie and Silas; step grandchildren, Kaylee and Pyper; one brother Philip (wife, Ret, deceased); and three sisters: Dottie (Dale) Jenks, Luona (Paul) Yusko, and Paula (Otto, deceased) Scott. He is predeceased by his parents: Mulford and Ruth (Gurney) Fenton; and two brothers: Mulford Fenton, Jr. (Barbara), and Don (Phyllis) Fenton. Bill was a loving and generous soul. He worked hard in his life, and operated his own construction business, PJF Enterprises for over 20 years. He was very well respected in his community and by his business associates. He enjoyed watching European Soccer, and is known to be a big NASCAR fan. Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:45 am, at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, NY. A memorial service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon. Bill fought a tough battle with cancer these past two years. To show their appreciation to Bill’s nurses and caregivers, the family requests donations be made in Bill’s name to: James Wilmot Cancer Institute at Strong Memorial Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642.
