Obituary of Bonnie Marie Wintermute

Bonnie Wintermute, 83, of Candor passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Bonnie was born May 2, 1938 in Waverly, NY to the late F. Preston and Esther Meddaugh. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Leslie Wintermute; step-father, LeRoy Lyon; brother, Russell Preston; two sisters, Nancy W. Campbell, Mary Jane Pond; nephew, Douglas Preston Campbell. Bonnie is survived by her three sons and daughter-in-law, James and Linda Wintermute, Bruce and Theresa Wintermute, Joseph and Anita Wintermute; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and William Brown; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Kleiman, Deborah and Kenneth Frisbie, Frank and Vicki Lyons; brother, Timothy Meddaugh; several nieces and nephews. One of Bonnie's greatest loves was children and she spent many years loving and caring for many. She enjoyed singing and was part of the church choir and the Candor Community Chorus for many years. Spending time with her family and loved ones was her most treasured time. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY.
