Obituary of Sally S. O'Connell

Sally S. O’Connell, 73, of Owego, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Sally was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Lucille Strait; brother, Edward Strait; sister, Kathleen Jackson. Sally is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dennis O’Connell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Lisa O’Connell; Mark and Sherry O’Connell; five grandchildren, Brayden, Leah, Jarrett, Jenna, Curtis; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sally will be remembered for her relentless spirit and optimism. She was a best friend to many and her love for others was unconditional and eternal. Sally was a lifelong member of the Flemingville United Methodist Church. She worked in the Cafeteria with IBM, Loral and Lockheed Martin in Owego. Sally loved sharing her farm, horses and dogs with endless joy. Calling hours for Sally will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.
