Obituary of Oscar E. Barnhart

Oscar E. Barnhart, 87, of Owego passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. Oscar was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Charlotte M. Barnhart; his parents, Bruce and Catherine Barnhart; siblings, Bruce Barnhart, Joseph Barnhart, Charlotte Armstrong, Rosemary Baker. Oscar is survived his two sons and daughters-in-law, David & Ronna Barnhart, Donald and Vicki Barnhart; daughter and son-in-law, Lorie and Bob Reardon; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Amanda, Ryan, Erika, Lindsey, Sean and Kelly; 11 great-grandchildren, Logan, Nadia, Savina, Hunter, Madyson, Elyse, Elliot, Jonah, Riley, Penelope and Kendall; as well as many nieces and nephews. Oscar worked for IBM for many years. Family was very important to him and he spent much of his time with his loved ones, doting on his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved fishing, woodworking and camping. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. with funeral services to immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
