Obituary of Colleen M. Ellison

Colleen Ellison, 63, of Spencer passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Esther Neigh; and son, Shawn Inman. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, James Ellison; children, Debbie Ellison of Spencer, Jeff (Abigal) Ellison of Lockwood, Michael (Donna) Ellison of VanEtten, Lisa (Rick) Gillette of Spencer, Todd (Terry) Ellison of Spencer, Kai (Christina) Inman of OH, and Tammy (Craig) Wilkinson of Athens; half-brothers, Richard and Tracey Neigh; 12 grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Colleen was a proud member of the Halsey Valley United Methodist Church where she was baptized on June 15, 1980 and she was a former secretary/treasurer and leader of the youth group. She was a former member of the Allen-Manzer Memorial Baptist Church. Colleen enjoyed her gardens and doing her crafts. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at Halsey Valley United Methodist Church, 497 Hamilton Valley Road, Spencer, NY with Rev. Richard VanDerpoel and Rev. Philip Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Halsey Valley Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Colleen’s name to Halsey Valley United Methodist Church, 497 Hamilton Valley Road, Spencer, NY 14883.
