Obituary of Patrick Lippincott

Patrick Francis Lippincott, formally of Owego, made his entrance stage right on February 7, 1966. Much to the sorrow of family and friends he entered his eternal rest on February 5, 2022. He is survived by his son, Vincent Patrick Lippincott; his mother, Margaret (Forsythe) Lippincott; his sisters, Kathleen (Guy) Fairweather, Barbara (Stephen) Lonsky, Mary (Al) Violet, Carol (Gary) Chase. He made a great impact on the lives of his nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. He had numerous close and faithful friends all around the country. To the family he was Uncle Pat and always had a joke or comment to make the tough things in life easier. He was affectionately referred to as Superman and was ready to jump in and lend a hand, a listening ear, or any resources he had available to help people. He was multi-talented in construction and involved in all areas of the performing arts. His involvement in the entertainment industry in technical theater, set design, show production, acting, giving instruction, and singing won him many awards and positive reviews. The list of his achievements is so large it would take a book to write them all down. He encouraged and assisted many youth and adult theater programs in the US and traveled with Disney on Ice, worldwide. He had many notable achievements throughout his career. He was bitten early by the theater bug. In High school he won awards for vocal completion and played the part of Pizzaro in Royal Hunt of the Sun taking first place in Texas state drama competition. Pat designed sets for the Oprah vs Cattlemen show at Amarillo Little Theater and had to leave the opening night of Peter Pan for the birth of his son, Vincent. He worked with SUNY Oneonta and starred as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, provided technical expertise for Into the Woods. He remodeled the former Vaudeville era Oneonta Theater and served as technical director for the concert venue, and productions Always Patsy Cline, Once Upon a Christmas Carol, and technical directed and starred in Frankenstein-the black and white stage production. He was the technical director for Wayside theater production of High Upon the Mountain. He provided technical instruction and support for homeschool youth theater programs. It was his dream to start a Youth Theatre school, and teach all phases of production to the coming generations. He was the owner of Patrick's Handy man Service, and most recently technical support at the Big Texan and Starlight Ranch in Amarillo,Tx. His smile could light up a room, and his positive attitude was contagious. He had amazing talent and encouraged others along the way. He was predeceased by his father James Patrick Lippincott, brothers Russel Patrick and much too recently James Gerard "Stork" Lippincott. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Amarillo Little Theatre Academy in honor of Patrick. In honoring the family's wishes, services will be held privately.
