Obituary of Stephen Michael Short

Stephen M. Short, 68, of Owego passed away unexpectedly, Monday, May 30, 2022. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth, Sr. and Sarah Short; two brothers, Kenneth "Butch" Short, David Short; sister, Carol Rogers. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Short; five children and their spouses, Crystal Johnson, Dale Short, LaVerne and Genelle Depuysselier, Steven and Fran Short, Jess (Liz) Short; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Roger Short; several nieces, nephew and cousins. Steve was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked for Emerson Power Transmission. Steve enjoyed hunting, trapping, camping and traveling. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin, NY.
