Obituary of Gregory Louis Stella

Gregory L. Stella, 75, formerly of Owego, NY, and more specifically, "the flats," passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at his home in New Berlin, NY surrounded by his family. Greg was born in Endicott, NY to the late Louis and Evelyn Stella. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Stella; two sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Nancie Stella; Timothy Stella; two grandchildren, Anastacia, Dylan; siblings, Michael and Julie Stella, Colleen Stella and Alan Levinsohn, Lucinda Stella and Elizabeth Stroop; brothers and sisters-in-law David and Kathy Berry; Cecilia and Kenneth Huff, several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Greg was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a life-long painter and artist. He worked in the printing field for many years and retired from Golden Artist Paints. Greg enjoyed life to the fullest, lived in Del Rio, Texas; Anchorage, Alaska, and travelled to many places around the country and to Italy, always happy to stop to visit and make new friends over a beer. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 - 11:45 a.m. followed by services at Noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Owego, NY. Contributions in Gregory's memory can be made to Chenango County Hospice.
