Obituary of Eileen Marie Ahart

Eileen Marie Ahart, age 70, of Candor, NY went home to be with the Lord on July 31st, 2022 following a courageous battle with brain cancer. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, William (Rita) Hollenbeck and Beverly Potter. She is survived by her two brothers, Scott (Jolie) Potter, Jeff (Laura) Hollenbeck; her sister, Laurie (Terry) Sullivan; her husband of 50 years, Jerry Ahart; three children, Brittnye (Josh) Soper, Andrew (Tristyn) Ahart, Peter (Brittany) Ahart; nine grandchildren that meant the world to her; Shelby, Zebulun, Hudson, Nicola, Brody, Eden, Payton, Beckett, and Easton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eileen spent most of her life in Candor, a community that she loved and called home. She was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church. Eileen retired from La Tourelle Hotel and Spa as a catering manager, a career that she truly enjoyed. Her later years were spent doing mission work in Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and other parts of the world. She asked the Lord to "expand her territory", and he did! We rejoice in knowing that Eileen is in the arms of our Savior. The family will receive friends Friday, August 5, 2022 from 10:30 a.m .to 11:45 a.m. with services to immediately follow at 12:00 Noon at the McKendree United Methodist Church, 224 Owego St., Candor, N.Y. with the Reverend William Puckey, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY.
