Obituary of Violet Swift Geller

Violet "Vi" Swift Geller, 92, of Owego, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022. Violet was predeceased by her parents, Otis and Virgie Swift; three sisters, Vivian Osborn, Virginia Coons, Marie Taylor; two grandchildren, Scott and Carrie Geller. Mrs. Geller is survived by her husband of 71 years, David A. Geller; her children: David P. (Geraldine) Geller of Stuart, FL, Marcia Werther (Paul) of Mendham, NJ, and Michael Geller (Philip Fornaci) of Washington, DC, four grandchildren: Lauren Hayes (Eric) of Jersey City, NJ, Cristen Gonzalez (Horacio) of Los Angeles, CA, Gregory Werther (Stephanie Groothaert) of Delray Beach, FL, and Brian Geller of Sanford, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Violet was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Owego, NY where she served on the Altar Guild and belonged to The Episcopal Church Women. Violet worked as a bookkeeper for the Owego National Bank for many years. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, September 9th from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, NY. Funeral services will be held on 11:00 am on Saturday, September 10 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 117 Main Street, Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY.
