Obituary of Doris Elaine Teed

Doris Elaine (Swartz, Truesdail) Teed passed away peacefully on February 21, 2023. Surrounded in her final days by those she loved dearly, she left us as she lived, with unapologetic dignity and courage, and with her strong will and sense of humor intact. She was predeceased by her firstborn beloved baby Herbert Walter Truesdail, II, (1960), her husband, Herbert Walter Truesdail (1937-1974); her second husband and "love of her life", Norman E. Teed (1926-1995), and her dear friend and companion Kenneth Shirek (1942-2011). Doris was also predeceased by her four Swartz sisters, Jean, Barbara, Bonnie, and twin sister, Dawn; five brothers, John, Roy ("Cork"), Roger "Butch", Ken and Shang, and 12 Truesdail in-laws, whom she loved like siblings. She will be forever deeply loved and truly missed by her son, Thomas Allen Truesdail, of Owego, NY; her grandson, Herbert W. Truesdail (Beth), new great-granddaughter, Ava May; her daughter, Kellie Marie (Truesdail, Williams) Mosher, of Endwell, NY, her three granddaughters, Lindsey May (Williams) Davey, (Bill); Elaine Marie (Williams) Jackson (Rob), Sarah Louise Williams (Adam); five great-grandsons Thomas, Mark, Shane, Dominic and Jaxz; numerous grand-pets, who always kept her smiling (and doling out doggie treats); several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Forever in our hearts, Mom, Gram, Aunt Dorie, Doris. "You did it your way". Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery, Owego, NY.
