Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Richard E. Harris, 79, formerly of Tioga Center and current resident of Johnson City passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, surrounded by his family. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Violet Harris, seven brothers and seven sisters. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Harris; two daughters, Suzie (George) Budine, Pam Dow (Joe Bevis); four granddaughters, Sarah (Rob Molnar), Mikki, Martha (Bryan Fowler), Jenni Dow; grandson, Michael Dow; sister, Dory Carlin; brother, John Harris; many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law. Richard was a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from the Tioga Central School District and State Line Auto. He was a life member of the Tioga Center Fire Department serving with the Fire Police for many years. He also belonged to the United Methodist Church of Tioga Center and the Tioga Center Senior Citizens. The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the staff at Lourdes – 3 Ross for all their care and support of Richard. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Tioga Center, 3022 State Route 17C, Tioga Center, NY. Pastor Donna Taylor Martin and his son-in-law, CLP George Budine will perform the services. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munreo & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY .
