Ellen F. Harris, 95, of Candor, NY passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. Ellen was predeceased by her husband, David Harris; son, Robert Harris; sister, Teresa Snyder; brother, Alfred Eastman; two sons-in-laws, Tom Chandanais, Tom Ficorelli; two daughters-in-law, Sharon Harris, Julie Harris. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Karan VanBaarsen, Donald "Ed" Harris, Barbara Chandanais, Mary and Jim Ward, Anna Ficorelli, James Harris and Sue Murray, Thomas and Jennifer Harris; daughter-in-law, Debra Harris; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Ellen retired as the head custodian at Ithaca College. She was a volunteer for Tioga County Rural Ministry, former president of the Altar Rosary Society, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 300 Main St., Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 PARK ST., OWEGO, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Ellen Harris's memory to Tioga County Rural Ministry, 243 North Avenue, Owego, NY 13827. Condolences may be made to Ellen's family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
