I will cherish all the memories I have of you and grandpa. Being at your house everyday when we lived down the road, and when we moved you two would come to our house almost everyday and I would always come home with you on weekends (and Shannon too, of course). My childhood was filled with lots of love and laughter when home with you. As a teen I lived with you and grandpa, I'll miss our Sunday breakfasts when me and grandpa would drive up the road to catch bullheads and the 3 of us would have fish and eggs. Seeing the love and playfulness between both of you was inspiring, and the love and forgiveness you had for everyone especially your family was beautiful. You and grandpa weren't just my grandparents, you were my guardians, caretakers, teachers and my heros. I will always cherish all that you gave me in life, I will forever cherish all the time I had at our house in the hollow. I love you and miss you both.

I have many, many wonderful memories of my grandma. Growing up we would see or talk to her and my grandpa everyday. I lived with her as a teenager, and again as an adult with my kids. I will always remember her playing the organ and showing my kids how to play, she always had a smile on her, and others around her smile. She was more like a mother to me as kid growing up. I will miss her cooking, her smile, her silliness, and her love. Her and her true love, my grandfather were made for each other and now they are both together again after 29 years of being apart. I will always cherish having your name.

Mommy I miss you more than words can express. I knew I would. It hurts so deeply that you aren’t here. I feel honored to be your daughter. You and daddy are the best parents. You love me unconditionally. You never got mad or held a grudge, even when rightfully so. I can only pray that I am as good of a mom as you are. I know you were scared, and you worried about yourself. I didn’t want you to know how scared and worried I was too. I was scared to let you go, though I knew I had to. I held your hand and told you it would be okay. That God will be with you. I prayed he wouldn’t allow you to suffer but didn’t think it would be so soon. I told you I’d be okay… that your love would stay with me, and you’d take my love with you, but it has been hard without you. I miss you so much. You longed to be with daddy. How you missed him. I know he thinks your hair is beautiful mommy. You are the love of his life. You are a beautiful person in so many ways. As I look over younger pictures of you, your beauty is infectious. I find it hard to look away. Your beauty, so pure. I don’t think you realize how beautiful you are inside and out. Your belief in God and going to church every Sunday. Everyone loved seeing us and they adored you. I loved after going how you would say, “That was a nice service, thank you, I’m so glad we went.” It meant a lot to you but to me too mommy. Our last time we went was Easter. You weren’t really up for it but afterwards so glad we went. I’m thankful we had that last time in church together mommy. I will never forget you smiling and singing that morning. Your smile is infectious. As I look around the house, you are everywhere but nowhere. I come home expecting to see you in your chair and saying, “I’m glad you’re home honey, I miss you when you’re gone.” How I miss you mommy. I am so grateful you decided to live with Jim, James and me. How much you loved us wearing our matching PJ’s. We were quite the pair mommy! James enjoyed having you here and spending time with you. How you loved to yell downstairs to him every night “James, goodnight! Grandma loves you” and he yelled back to you, “Goodnight Gramaaaa! love you” ❤️ What a wonderful, cherished memory. I remember you calling me the day I went into labor with Becky. You said you had a feeling and should check in with me. How you couldn’t wait to meet James when we brought him home. You are an amazing Grandma. They both have memories of you teaching them your No Bake Cookie recipe. Your patience, so steady. How you loved going to Rita’s for chocolate frozen custard or having chocolate ice cream…every night, oh how you loved chocolate ice cream. Our get togethers with Becky and Ed. You loved going to their home. You loved being a part of everything we did and we enjoyed having you a part of it. You enjoyed yourself so much going to James school functions, Jims parents’ home or our friends get togethers. You were always a part of it all. Our drives during Covid and you would tell me stories of when you use to drive and worked in the Owego Shoe Factory and school cafeteria. How much you missed daddy and those times so long ago. The story of daddy asking the nurse to recheck if there was a boy when you had the twins. How you would always ask me, if I wanted you to drive and then you’d giggle. I miss those times and will hold them dear in my heart forever. Thank you mommy for those precious memories that I will cherish forever. I love you mommy forever and ever and will miss you always. ❤️ Love ya more! Debbie ❤️

You gave grandma a happy life in her last years on this earth before she was reunited with the love of her life and made memories of grandma for James to know her like the rest of us grandkids did. Grandpa's soul was probably at ease knowing that his little woman was ok.

I am crazy about you, little lady! Your laugh, that twinkle in your eye, the way you held my hand, and those warm hugs. Your love always made me feel special… it is like magic. God must have given me you to liven up my life, to make my life more complete, and make me a better human being. You had a way about you that always made me smile. Maybe it was the way you gracefully whizzed from window to window in the morning pulling all the blinds and curtains back while singing, “let the merry sunshine in”! I couldn’t see any trace of sun but there you were in your house coat and cute little slippers telling me it was time to get up…and you danced into the kitchen singing and humming while putting coffee on to brew. There was no negotiating this with you. Or maybe it was you digging out pie tins for making mud pies, which just delighted my mom…but I had the best time! You made me the best cinnamon toast and always had different homemade cookies when I visited. I am so thankful for our relationship and how it grew over the years. How lucky I am for all the wonderful moments we’ve shared. Oh how I loved watching you in the kitchen preparing an array of wonderful dishes and treats. The best part was that small taste test you always gave me. As I got older, cooking and baking along side of you was a dream. I remember when trying to learn your recipes and you’d always tell me, “just a little of this, and a little of that” but mine just never tasted the same because it was missing your secret ingredient [pinch of your love]. As time moved forward our connections grew. All of a sudden we were starting a tradition of celebrating our birthdays together, getting manicures, having regular sleepovers and watching movies late into the night, ice cream sundaes, vanilla Frappuccinos, and can’t forget about those car sing-a-longs…whether it was pop/rock hits, country on Froggy 99.9 or our favorite Christmas tunes..didn’t matter…we just sang and be-bopped along. These are just some of the best memories I’ll always have to cherish. It isn’t often in our lives that we have someone so special that stays with us forever. Grandma, you are that person.To me, you are perfect; there’s nothing about you I would change. You are kind, you are sassy, you are fun, you are loving, you are beautiful, you are my grandma. So to you grandma, I say thank you. Thank you for being the incredible woman you are. The fact that I have a lifetime of sweet memories with you is a tribute in itself to the kind of person you are and the love you gave. For that I will always be grateful. You were always my sunshine and now you are also my bright shining moon! Your spirit and strength, lives on in me and in all those who have been touched by your love, strength, conviction, and beauty of your soul. Finally, though, you can breathe easy. Finally, Grandma,… you are reunited with your other half, Grandpa. Finally, you are at home.❤️  You were never just ‘my grandmother’, but my friend and my inspiration. I can’t thank you enough. My mommy left me with so many wonderful memories, my heart overflows with continuous images of her smile and long-standing devotion. Her laughter and enduring words are seated in the core of my being. Her ever helpful hand, the beauty of her joyful simplicity and appreciation of life and family and her encourageing and comforting arms, will forever be embedded in my soul. Only those who have had a wonderful mother can know my deepest sorrow at her absence now in my life. Even though I hold a treasureful of memories, and the quiet witness she displayed in her meek and loyal expressions of love, her absence will forever leave a profound sadness in the part of my heart she alone filled. The space she alone filled will always be sacred to me. I LOVE YOU MOMMY!❣️
