Obituary of William Elmer Moyka

William E. "Bill" Moyka, 85, of Candor, NY passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Mr. Moyka was born in Ithaca, NY to the late William and Frances (Kellogg) Moyka. Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gail Moyka; his two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Pamela Moyka, Bart and Katherine Moyka; four grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Grace. A graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, Bill was a retired mechanical engineer. He worked for U.S. Steel in England and Venezuela. He stayed in Venezuela for over 43 years where he operated his own business. Besides his love for his family, he loved boating, cooking (and eating!) and entertaining his friends and family. He also enjoyed building things and then rebuilding them. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity. Funeral services will be held on September 29, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. The family will receive friends Thursday September 28 from 4:00 β 6:00 pm at the funeral home. The family is being assisted by the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to Bill's family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com. The family is requesting the wearing of marks.
