Obituary of Elaine D. Ellis

Elaine D. Ellis, 75, of Owego passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at home. Elaine was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Achsa Snavely; husband of 44 years, Richard “Dick” Ellis; sisters, Grace, Betty, Marie, and Jan; brothers, Jim and Ernie. Elaine is survived by her children, Joyce (Stephen) Short of Owego, Kevin (Suzanne) Ellis of Newark Valley, Geren (Debbie) Ellis of Great Bend, PA, and Jo-Ann (Skip) Burlingame of Binghamton; lifelong best friend, Jeanette Bailey; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard Snavely of Newark Valley, Frank (Barb) Snavely of Newark Valley, Bob Snavely of LA, and Ken (Shirley) Snavely; along with several nieces and nephews. Elaine enjoyed being social and spending time with her family and friends. She crocheted blankets for her family and friends. Family invites friends to share memories on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 1 to 3 at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego.
