Floyd W. Jayne, Jr., 96, of Owego went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 15, 2023. Mr. Jayne was born in Trenton, NJ to the late Floyd and Emily (Tedesky) Jayne. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 73 years, Betty Jayne; sister, Jacquelyn Tristan; step-mother, Charolette Jayne. Floyd is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, Sherry and Donald Salisbury, Juliann McEnaney and Jason O'Shaughnessy; three grandchildren, Timothy and Jessie Salisbury, Jonathan and Kelly Salisbury, Michael McEnaney; four great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Lewis, several nieces and nephews. Floyd was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He retired from IBM -Owego and was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Owego. Floyd loved to travel, camping and will be remembered for his love of whistling. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 3732 Waverly Road, Owego, NY. Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
