Obituary of Donna Marie Easton

Donna Marie Easton, 71, of Owego, NY, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 with her family by her side. Donna was predeceased by her father, Robert Crane; three brothers, Scott Crane, Jeffrey Crane, Peter Landry; infant granddaughter, Shawna Marie Roden. Donna is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Easton; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca "Becky" and Michael Roden, Greg Easton; grandchildren, Emma Roden and Tyler Moore; Michael "Mikey" Roden and Holly Kersten; her mother, Audrey Cleary; three brothers and sister-in-law, Mitchell Crane, James and Sarah Crane, Stephen Landry; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leslie and Joseph Becker, Renee and Robert Rushton; very special friend and "brother", Jack Jorgensen; several nieces, nephews, cousins dear friends and her loving dogs (past and present): Daisy, Star, Rusty, Lady, Duchess, (Sir) Duke, Harley, Maggie, Darcy, Hannah (the foster dog), Doc and Jake. Donna married her best friend and love of her life, Ken, on December 23, 1972. She first became a mom in 1974 (Greg), and again in 1976 (Becky), but her cherished day was when she became GAMMA. Her love for her family, community and friends was endless and she will be deeply missed. Donna was a lifetime member of Owego Fire Department, Wave Hose Company #2. She was a firefighter, intermediate EMT, served nine years as Owego Police Dept Dispatch, ten years as Tioga County Bureau of Fire Administrative Assistant. One year, she ran 900 EMS calls. She was fondly known as "Momma Chief" and "Chief's Wife". Donna was the ghost writer for the Tioga County 9-11 Ceremonies. The family would like to extend a special THANK YOU to the Robert Packer ICU Pod2 staff, especially Julia P. RN, and Wanda F. NP. A celebration of Donna's life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY with Rev. Nancy Adams, officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, November 24th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna M.
