Obituary of Phyllis Jean Bynes

Phyllis J. (Zimmer) Bynes, 92, of Owego, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, William and Marjorie O'Loughlin; two husbands, Ransom Zimmer, Jack Bynes; son, Jeffrey Zimmer; granddaughter, Beth; great-granddaughter, Torrie; brother, William O'Loughlin. Phyllis is survived by her children and their spouses, Marjorie and Dale Nicholls, Jack Zimmer, Rosemary Zimmer, Stephen Zimmer, Douglas and Brenda Zimmer; daughter-in-law, Susan Zimmer; 14 grandchildren, Michelle, William, Angie, Marcus, Nicole, Mandy, Lawrence, Jr., Jesse, Heather, Josh, Brandi, Ashley, Lindsey, Jenna; 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Phyllis retired as an LPN with Absolute Care of Endicott and was a member of St. Patrick's Church of Owego. The family will receive friends Friday, November 17, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
