Obituary of Francis Joseph Kucinsky

Francis "Frank" Kucinsky, 77, of Owego, NY passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023. Frank was a graduate of Owego Free Academy and RIT. He worked at Crown Industries as a manufacturing engineer. He also worked part time as a Tioga County Sheriff's Deputy K-9 Unit, a security guard for Sears, and security guard for the Tioga County Court House. He owned the Sports Den in Owego for many years, and was a member of the Owego Fire Department Emergency Squad. Frank enjoyed the social aspects of Owego, being a member of the American Legion Post 401, captain of the Owego Fire Department Emergency Squad, Owego VFW post 1371, and the Governor of the Owego Moose Lodge 1595. He and Debbie enjoyed years of Wii bowling, Wednesday night dinners, drawings and numerous other special events at the lodge. Frank and Debbie spent many wonderful years camping at Lake Bonin, surrounded by amazing friends who filled their summers with so much joy and laughter. They also enjoyed multiple trips to the boardwalks of Ocean City and Virginia Beach to hear the ocean, soak up the warm sun, and people watch for entertainment. He is predeceased by his parents, Carm and Toby Oakes; sister, Madge Costantini. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 25 years, Debbie Kucinsky; his much loved children, Joe (Patti) Kucinsky, Christine Penrose, Kelle (Matt) Motsko, Jason (Cyndi) Gowan, Jamie (Keri) Gowan; grandchildren, Elissa & Kailey Kucinsky, Megan (Jim) Kusovski, Sierra Penrose, Gabrielle and Tanner Motsko, Aidan and Augie Gowan, Ellie Zolman-Gowan; great-grandchildren; Aiden, Alexander, Elena Kusovski, Owen, Riley Penrose. A celebration of life will be held at the Owego Moose Lodge on January 6th, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Please come and have a drink for Frank. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Kidney Foundation or the Owego Moose Lodge 1595 in Frank's honor would be appreciated.
