Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Bonetti
Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elizabeth "Betty" Bonetti, 87, of Vestal, New York, went to be with Our Lord on Monday, January 1, 2024. Betty was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Frank and Agnes Debrecht. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Andy; sister, Mary Clare; daughter-in-law, Marla; and grandson, Darin Salerno.
Betty was the loving wife of 61 years to Andy, and cherished by many in her family. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Maria and George Muzea, Paul Bonetti, Clarissa and Thomas Robinson, Elizabeth and Robert Carrino, and Joseph Bonetti; seven grandchildren, Gemma, David, Joseph, Michael, Kevin, Aubrey, and Anna; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Parker, and Cooper.
Betty was a fervent Catholic, making her childhood Sacraments at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. John's Mercy School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri, and worked in hospitals, private doctor offices, and a nursing home when she wasn't busy raising five children.
Betty was a long-time member of St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church in Apalachin, New York, and was involved with Marriage Encounter, Stephens Ministry, and enjoyed making presentations at Marriage Pre-Cana Classes.
Betty and Andy spent 32 winters in Fort Pierce, Florida, where she enjoyed Bible Study, meeting new people, and playing tennis. Her greatest passion was raising her children and spending time with family.
A Catholic Burial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, 1110 Pennsylvania Avenue, Apalachin, NY. In lieu of flowers, the Bonetti Family requests donations may be made to Tioga County Rural Ministries https://www.tcrm.org. Condolences may be made to Betty's family here.
