Obituary of Donna Marie Thomas

Donna M. Thomas, 79, of Willseyville, NY, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024. at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. Donna was born October 2, 1944, to the late William and Alice (Diller) Thomas. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Billy, Eddie and an infant brother. Donna is survived by her daughter, Alison Thomas, of Candor, NY; grandson, Noah Johnson, of Candor, NY; granddaughter, Kaylee Johnson, of Candor, NY; two sisters, Betty Thomas, of Port Byron, NY, Barbara Kern, of Willseyville, NY; two nephews, Bill, Steve; two nieces, Sherri, Sue; several great-nieces and great-nephews; many cousins; dear friends, Shyrl Edburgh, Phil Jordan. Donna worked for Ithaca College for almost 20 years and later retired from the Cornell Veterinary School Library. After her retirement from Cornell she worked for the Willseyville Post Office. She was the secretary for many years for the Yellow Rose Club which met every Monday Morning. Donna enjoyed her Monday Afternoon card parties and attending St. Luke's Church in Van Etten, NY. She loved dogs and horses. The family will receive friends Friday, February 23rd from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY. with her dear friend, Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna M. Thomas's memory to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N.
