Bessie E. Blend, 79, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015. Bessie was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert P. Blend, Jr. ; four brothers; six sisters. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda Blend, Robert and Starr Blend III, Kellie and Ronald Carr; three grandchildren, Robert, Tara and Ronnie; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Connie and her husband, Bernie Schumacher; several nieces and nephews; dear friends, Charlene and Melvin Day, Ted and Jean Davis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Burial will be in the Tioga Cemetery in the Spring. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Condolences may be made to Bessie’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com
