Robert "Bob" Allan Maki, 76, of Candor, NY, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Oxford Veterans Home, Oxford, NY. Robert was born in Glens Falls, NY to the late Matthew and Catherine Maki. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Wayne Maki. Robert is survived by his sister, Toini Pulver; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Patricia Maki; nieces and nephews, Beth Maki, Rachel (Larry) Maki, Catherine Maki, Matthew and his wife, Randi Maki, Megan Pulver and her husband, Chad Nordlander, James Pulver; cousins, Pam, Paul, Alan, Stanley, Karen, Chris, Daniel; many dear friends. Robert was a veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for Therm Inc., and was a lifetime member of the Candor American Legion Post #907. Bob served as former Post #907 Commander, former Tioga County Legion Commander and was a member of the American Legion Post #907 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. with funeral services and full military honors being accorded at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY with Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Valley Cemetery, Willseyville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert Maki's memory to the Candor American Legion Post #907, 90 Spencer Road, Candor, NY 13743.
