Obituary of Michael L. Smith

Michael L. Smith, 38, of Owego, died unexpectedly, Sunday, May 3, 2015 as a result of an autocross racing accident. Michael was predeceased by his mother, Georgena Smith. He is survived by his father, Robert Smith; girlfriend, Courtney Brooks; children, Shyloh, Abby, Mia, Courtney, Brian; siblings, Tina and Ralph Vona, Michelle Smith and Dave Horton, Robert Smith and Patricia Foster, Jeffery and Brenda Smith; nieces and nephews, Andrew and Jessica Vona, Sean Vona and Brittney Sines, Shane Smith and Christina Smith, Jeremy Smith, Jessica Smith and Vince Shoudy, Jeffery and Terra Wilcox; great-niece, Olivia; several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Mike was employed with Willow Run Foods, Inc. for many years. He had a passion for racing autocross cars and demolition derby. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with Rev. Robert Harris, officiating.
