David Redsicker, 68 of Apalachin, left our World on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Dave was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Joanne Redsicker. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia Redsicker; children, Aaron and Patricia Redsicker, Amy(Hilker) and Gene LaPlante, Michael and Kris Redsicker, Andy Hilker and his fiancee, Kristen Smetanka; ten grandchildren, Eric, Mikey, David, Joshua, Tyme Guiles Cronk and her husband, Dylan, Mason, Gabe, Brady, Audra, Lucy; great-grandson, Ryder Cronk; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Donna Redsicker; two sisters, Pamela Redsicker, Rebecca Fitchpatrick; Aunt, Janice Redsicker; several nieces, nephews, cousins and his best friend, Elvis. David was proud to be raised on his family’s 3rd generation dairy and poultry Farm and also help operate the family’s 3rd generation saw mill. After graduating high school, he continued on with an extensive eduational backround and credentials which are endless. He worked for the Tioga County Sheriff’s Department from 1971-1981 working his way to Senior Investigator. He worked for New York State Division of Criminal Justice in Albany as a Senior Training officer, New York State Division of Criminal Justice Office of Fire Prevention and Control, and in 1983, he joined Peter Vallas Associates, Inc. and was proud to be a part of their team until his final days. David was a member of the Spencer Emergency Squad and the Tioga County Fire Investigative Team. He took great pride in building his own contemporary A-frame home and bought and remodeled countless others thoughout his life. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Chapel, 92 Main St., Van Etten, NY with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. The family will receive friends Monday Evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY.
