Obituary of Carrie Anne Mallory

Our beautiful, sweet Carrie Anne (Bigelow) Mallory is now soaring in peace with the angels. She left this world Wednesday, February 5, 2014, fighting to the very end with astounding strength and grace. Some lights are just too bright to shine in this world for very long. Beloved baby girl of Harland and Janice Bigelow, Carrie grew up surrounded by the noise, love and commotion of her large family and many friends in Lisle, NY. She graduated from Whitney Point High School class of1995 and briefly pursued her love of travel while working in the airline industry before she found her calling as a yoga instructor, studying at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Carrie reveled in her love of the natural world around her home near Bethel, NY whether it be making maple syrup, growing organic vegetables, canoeing or hiking. No matter what the activity, and true to her roots, Carrie was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents Donald and Dorothy Bigelow. Carrie is survived by the loves of her life, husband David Mallory and son, Conway; grandparents, Ross Carlyle and Margaret Westover. Her sister, Julie (Matthew) Barden and their children Micah, Elias and Evan; sister, Candice (Matthew) Poyer and their daughters Ashley (Nathaniel Smith), Amanda (Jermaine Cabeza) and their son Andrew; brother, Jamie (Laura) Bigelow and their children, Matthew, Devon, Treyvor, Sadie and Liem; brother Jason (Deidra) Bigelow and their children Maxwell and Harper. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Carrie's life on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Lisle Fire Hall, 9090 Main Street, Lisle, NY with calling hours from 12:00 noon to 1:45 p.m. and a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Conway Mallory's scholarship fund c/o Harland Bigelow, P.
