Obituary of Erma Fay Inman
Please share a memory of Erma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Erma Fay Curtiss Inman, 91, of Willseyville, NY died July 3, 2016. Erma was married for 68 years to Albert H. Inman, who died August 8, 2011. Our Mom had a green thumb, loved flowers, especially carnations and tuberous begonias. She loved western novels and would sit for hours doing jigsaw puzzles and sewing. Mom loved to cook and bake, was known for great apple pie, and would often say, “Well, If you won’t let me pay you, how about an apple pie?”. She often took goodies to her doctor’s office staff, loved fishing and hunting, caught many fine fish and shot her share of “big bucks”. She baby sat most of the neighborhood children and made quilts for most of them. She always worked alongside her husband in the garden and took care of hundreds of farm animals (and a few wild ones… raccoons and a fawn). Erma was born to Bernice Grace Inman and Robert Curtiss on May 2, 1925. She is survived by four daughters, Edwina (Edward) Monroe, Betsy (William) Selover, Erma (Wolfgang) Peterson, Brenda (Larry) Morseman; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws; special friends, Bob and Ruthie, at McAnn’s Restaurant. A celebration of Mom’s life will be held on July 23, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Candor Fire Hall, Route 96, Candor. Condolences may be made to Erma’s family at www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com.
