Obituary of Joan B. Sedlak

Joan B. Schreiner Sedlak, 84 of Owego passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Owego. She was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Clara Cherpak; and husband, John Sedlak. Joan leaves behind her children, Roy (Elizabeth) Schreiner of Owego, Denise (Jeff) Norman of Lansing, and Debra Schreiner; grandchildren, Jordan and Kyle Schreiner, Joshua, Shaun, Eric, Christopher, Michelle and Danielle Swinarski, Gregory, Jason, Adrienne and Vanessa Finley; many great grandchildren; and her dear friend, Doris. She retired from IBM in Owego and worked part time as a cook for the Tioga County Sherriff’s Department after many years of service. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Owego. Joan’s greatest love was her family and she had a love of music, baseball and watching TV. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego with burail to follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
