Obituary of Thomas F. Taft

Thomas F. Taft, Jr., 51, of Owego passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016. Tom was predeceased by his father, Thomas Taft, Sr. He is survived by his three sons, Timothy, Aaron and Tyler; mother and step-father, Janet and Ford Bruce; brother and sister-in-law, David and Shadra (Taft) Bruce. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and worked for IBM and Time Warner Cable. He coached football, baseball and lacrosse, was past president of OJFL and was an active member of the Owego Fire Department and Chief from 1998-2010. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 228 Main St., Owego. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Owego. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Thomas F.
