Obituary of Michael C. Shumway

Michael C. Shumway, 59, of Owego, passed away, Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Michael is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Shumway; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Eric Ellis; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Janice Shumway; four grandchildren, Cassandra (Nate), Matthew, Kaiden (Rachel), Megan; two great-grandsons, Brayden and Kasen; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Ernie Ingersoll; two brothers, George and William Shumway; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael’s love for his wife, Linda, was profound. He did his best to battle the illnesses to be with his family to the bitter end. Thank You for always leaving a special smile! Everyone loved your woodworking, your passion for your friends and neighbors, your love of hunting, time spent at the pond, your cat, camping with “Magoo” and your family and your zest for life was one of a kind!
