Claude “Duke” Brainard, 75, of Candor passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017. Claude was predeceased by his son, Anthony Brainard; sister, Lenore Hammond; brother, Gary Brainard. He is survived by his daughter, Angela Ross; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Ken Hammond; brother, Gordon Brainard; sister-in-law, Linda Brainard; special cousin, Bill Edwards; several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Duke enjoyed his days of driving tractor trailer across the county and loved gardening. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating.
