Obituary of Norman R. Plummer

Norman R. Plummer, 79, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 28, 2014, at home. Mr. Plummer was predeceased by his parents, Russell and Elizabeth Plummer; sister, Elaine Murawa. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly; son, Christopher Plummer; granddaughter, Maranda Plummer; two brothers, David Plummer, Robert Plummer; several nieces and nephews; special care provider, Joy Bartony. Norman received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Engineering from Union College. He retired from I.B.M. Corp. after 34 years of service and was very proud to have been instrumental in developing four Patents. Norman will be remembered for his love of woodworking, bowling, target shooting, painting, golfing, model airplanes and Halloween. A very special Thank You to Dr. Kloss and the team at Broome Oncology for their compassionate care and concern for Norman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego. Burial will follow in the Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Norman R.
