Obituary of Jessie Nagel

Jessie Nagel, 89, of Candor, New York passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.  Mrs. Nagel was preceased by her husband, Zigmunt Nagel; daughter, Elizabeth Kraus; siblings, Larry and Fran Mosher, Jack Roland, Hazel Peck.  She is survived by her children and their spouses, Vincent and Jean Nagel, David Nagel, Katherine Hart, Pamela and William Hiney, Alan Kraus; seven grandchildren, Steven, Kevin, Michael, Karen, Pamela, Matthew, Jamie; 11 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Muriel “Bunky” and James Olmstead.  Jessie worked many years for Cornell Cooperative Extension.  She was active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and current member of St. Patrick’s Church.  Jessie was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January  29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 300 Main St., Owego.  Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.  Arrangements are by the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home.
