Nick A. Rollins, 87, of Candor passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019. Nick was born in Ithaca, NY and lived in the area until he retired from Cornell University and moved to Gulf Shores, AL. He returned to Spencer, NY in 2008. Nick was predeceased by his three sisters, Mildred Clark, Adele Jividen and Edith Szabo. He is survived by his wife, Marion Rollins; five children and their spouses, Steven and Noreen Rollins, Danny and Carolyn Rollins, Vickie Rollins, Nick Jr. and Lisa Rollins, Susan (Phil) Robison; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and step children. At the age of 17, Nick joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in the Bering Strait during the cold war era. He was honorable discharged in 1951. Nick was a PUFL member of the American Legion for 53 years. He served as a Post Commander at Legion Post #907, Candor, NY, NY District 6 Commander and NY State Department Adjutant. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, Life Celebrations Home®, 137 Main St., Candor, NY with the Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. The family will receive friends Monday, May 13, 2019 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Nick A.
