Obituary of Nancy M. Campbell

Nancy Meddaugh Campbell, 74, of Candor, NY, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2014. She was born August 24, 1939 the daughter of the late F. ‘Preston’ Meddaugh and Esther (Gridley, Meddaugh) Lyon. Nancy is also predeceased by her son Douglas Preston Campbell, stepfather LeRoy Lyon, brother Russell Preston Meddaugh, sister Mary Jane Pond, and very special brother-in-law Leslie Wintermute. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and lifetime friend Carlton Gooding, son Chris Campbell, daughters; Susan (James) Seeley, and Joan (Vincent) Roberts all of Candor, NY.; sisters, Bonnie Wintermute, Patricia Kleiman, Deborah (Kenneth) Frisbie and brothers; Frank (Vicki) Lyon, and Timothy Meddaugh. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nancy was a Candor graduate and retired from Cornell University. Nancy was an avid reader and enjoyed her travels. Nancy’s greatest love was the time spent with family and friends. “Tell everybody that I love them.” Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 12:00 at Estey, Munroe and Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor with Rev. Philip Jordan officiating and burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Family invites friends to call from 10 to 11:45 prior to the services.
