Bob you are the man! I visited your mom and dad and had a great talk with them so they are holding a spot next to them in heaven.
My favorite memories with you is when your kids we’re still very young and you being the history buff you are (maybe and possibly a Jeopardy contender) Couldn’t wait to take me to DC All the museums all around the cities in between to teach me anything and everything that you could throw at a seven-year-old going on eight (inside jk it was on my bday cake). Being a sponge that I am I couldn’t hear enough. Bob was full of great and amazing stories. Some would call it a gift, some would say it’s Bob saying the same story over and over which is also one of the things I cherished.
There’s too many memories that I could go on and on about for example after visiting the naval ship which wasn’t ship it was on land... Then took me to a submarine shop which I thought for sure would be the same thing but just underground lone behold it was a place that serves bread and cold cuts you can imagine 7-year-old how perplexing it was. Well It turns out that people in Florida call a sub or sandwich in a submarine is something that goes underwater. Two things are ignited in me...boy I want to know more about history and the culinary arts. This is probably why I watch discovery the history channel and the Food Networks. I can’t be certain on this but I’m gonna go with it. Uncle Bobby you ARE amazing; such a positive influence in my life as you are to anyone that Grounded themselves around you! You’ll be loved and missed until I get a chance to tell you that the person, I bid you a safe passage in the next chapter.
Much love to the family and loved ones that can all have a little part of you in similar stories. I beg you to share them with each other bc that’s what he would want.... who knows you might just learn something new.
Love, Jeremiah Downs aka JD/ in the room in spirit!
