Wayne D. Maki, 72, of Willseyville, NY unexpectedly passed away, Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Catherine Maki; his wife of 36 years, Martha Maki. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine "Cat" Maki; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Randi Maki; two grandsons, Ewan, Emmett; sister, Toini Maki Pulver; two brothers and sister-in-law, Walter and Patricia Maki, Robert Maki; nieces and nephews, Beth, Rachel (Larry), James, Megan (Chad), Jessica, Sarah (Spencer); treasured companion, Jean. Wayne grew up in Candor, NY and retired from Therm, Inc., of Ithaca, NY. In his retirement, he volunteered for Tioga Opportunities, Inc, delivering meals. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor, NY with Rev. Phil Jordan, officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Home Delivered Meals at Tioga Opportunities, Inc. 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd, Owego, NY 13827, 607-687-4120.
